Our Pool is the reason the PSA exists and was fundamental to the pool opening over 50 years ago from fundraising and getting the whole community involved with the installation. The PSA still exists today to help raise funds to keep the pool running with the support of parent payments. Schools are not required to give weekly lessons to children of all ages but we believe it is vital to use our pool to help children to learn to swim from an early age. It costs over £20k a year to run the pool - and we create fundraising events to make sure that money does not come out of the school budget!
Events we hold throughout the school year:
Harvest Festival Auction, Firework Display, Halloween Disco, Christmas Fayre, Christmas Card Design Project, St Piran's Disco, Mother's Day Gift Shop, School Triathlon, Father's Day Gift Shop, Summer Disco, Summer Fun Day and School Bingo Night.
We are always looking for volunteers to help on the PSA and hold an annual general meeting in September. You can get involved as much or as little as fits with you. Email the PSA on psa@tywardreath.tpacademytrust.org or follow us on Facebook ...... @tywardreathschoolparentstaffassociation
